Upside-Down Pictures
Why are some pictures upside-down in the contact sheets?
It's because I turned the camera upside-down to take the picture. There
are two reasons for doing this. One reason is to get the lens up about 4
inches higher, while still looking through the viewfinder, to see over
people's heads in a crowd, for example. Another reason is to steady the
camera in low-light situations, where a slow shutter speed must be used.
The camera is more steady with its back resting firmly against your
forehead, rather than mashed into your nose.
