Map Display Too Dim, Even at Maximum Brightness |
| Problem The screen is too dim, even at the highest brightness setting. Cause The brightness setting is OK, but the contrast setting is not. Solution Briefly press the Power/Brightness button (upper-right round buton). This displays the brightness/constrast scroll bars on the screen. (Note: Pressing and holding this same button turns off the Garmin unit.) Press the Rocker Keypad up for maximum brightness. Then try pressing holding the Rocker Keypad left or right to adjust the contrast. It is a little slow to react, so be patient. When the screen looks OK, let go of the Rocker Keypad.
