I really liked this backstage photo, but it didn't make it
into the yearbook. You can see Michelle Knowlden busily checking her makeup in a
mirror while someone else (what was his name?) is checking the
photographer in another.
Michelle was my debate opponent during my Summer School from Hell, 1969,
parents made me take Speech and Typing classes -- four hours of misery
every morning for four weeks.
In our debate in speech class, I was against continuing the U. S.
manned space program
after conclusion of the Apollo program, and Michelle was for it.
Somewhat ironically, we both ended up working on the Space Shuttle
program (although only briefly in my case). Michelle became an engineer and mystery writer.
good part of summer 1969 was that I got my first camera, a Pentax
Spotmatic, which I used to take these pictures.
